Just now, Leshcat has announced the availability of its Catalyst 14.9.2 Beta UnifL Public Testing release that fixes several wakeup-related issues encountered by certain laptop models and includes various improvements targeted at HP Probook devices.

In addition to that, via this new release, Leshcat unlocks Catalyst Control Center (CCC) profiles and hopes to resolve the Playback and HDMI transition issues.

When it comes to the contents, this package includes AMD Catalyst Graphics Driver 14.9.2 Beta 2, released especially for Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth title, as well as AMD’s 7.12.0.7719 and 9.0.0.9905 HDMI audio drivers compatible with Windows 7 and 8.1, respectively.

Furthermore, the present update also contains Intel HD Graphics Driver 9.17.10.3517 and Intel Iris/HD Graphics Driver 10.18.10.3958 modern versions, as well as Intel’s  8.15.10.2900 HD Graphics legacy package.

As for installing this release, simply save and run the downloadable package, follow the on-screen instructions for a successful upgrade, and perform a system reboot upon completion in order to ensure all changes take effect properly.

However, bear in mind that Leshcat’s new graphics driver is still a beta version released for public testing and it should be treated as such. Also, don’t forget that this UnifL package is only compatible with the 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems.
