New features:

- Added Power Priority mode. Access this option via the Battery Page.
- Two options - Battery priority or DC Priority
- Battery priority forces the device to use the onboard device battery first and then switch to a DC power supply when the battery has depleted.
- This option is to maximise battery performance when using the Atomos Power Station to power the camera and as backup for the device
- DC Priority - will always use DC as the power source when selected.
- Should be used when using a true AC-DC 110-240V mains
- Use Battery priority mode when using Power Station over DC to device.

Bug fixes:

- Fixed occasional dropped frame when recording in some FS700 Raw modes.
- Fixed occasional colour encoding issue when recording DNxHR from FS700 Raw.
- Fixed SDI audio output issue that caused audio problems with some broadcast equipment.
- Fixed occasional record failure issue when Time-lapse motion blur is enabled with some video inputs
- Fixed occasional scrambled frames on playback
- Corrected the HDMI audio stream packet information
- Fixed an issue where 24 bit audio output was corrupted during playback.
- Fixed an issue where screen tearing would sometimes appear on the right hand side of the screen.

About Video Recorder Adapters:

Applying a new firmware package on your Video Recorder adapter should improve overall performance and stability, fix various issues encountered with the device, or add support for newly developed features.

The Video Recorder adapter should be carefully upgraded by a power user (that is to say, someone who has the know-how to successfully complete the process), but it can also be performed by an average user at his or her own risk.

Either way, given the fact that each producer has their own method for installing a new firmware, and that every device has a particular way to enter the update mode, you must not consider upgrading the adapter’s software until you have read and thoroughly understood the installation steps.

As a rule, said steps shouldn’t pose too much of a challenge because manufacturers strive to make them as easy as possible. As with everything else, exceptions do occur, and users should be prepared for them.

Usually, you should transfer the compatible firmware to the Recorder through a USB cable or a memory card, and afterwards enter update mode from the unit’s setup menu or through a specific power-on method.

With this in mind, if you intend to apply this release, make sure the package is compatible with your Video Recorder and that it brings about the changes you want or require; hit the download button and apply the new firmware.

Don’t forget to regularly check with our website so that you don’t miss any updates.
