The release maximizes battery performance with two options

Atomos has rolled out a new firmware package compatible with its Shogun Ninja Assassin video recorders, namely version 6.51, which adds a Power Priority mode accessible via the Battery Page.

This new feature includes two options, Battery Priority and DC Priority, from which owners will have the ability to choose in order to maximize the usage time.

To be clear, if Battery priority is selected, this option will force the device to use the battery first and then switch to a DC power supply. This mode maximizes battery performance when using an Atomos Power Station.

As for DC Priority, this mode will always use DC as the main power source and is recommended when having an AC-DC 110-240V main available. However, the producer highlights that owners should still select Battery priority when using a Power Station.

When it comes to fixes, firmware 6.51 resolves occasional scrambled frames on playback, corrects HDMI audio stream packet info and removes the bug that corrupted the 24-bit audio output during playback.

In addition to that, the producer has also managed to fix occasional record failures on some video inputs when Time-lapse motion blur is enabled, as well as the screen tearing on the right-hand side of the screen.

Besides these changes, the Ninja Assassin unit also receives fixes for occasionally dropped frames when recording in some FS700 Raw modes, and color encoding issues when recording DNxHR from FS700 Raw.

Therefore, download AtomOS Ninja Assassin Firmware 6.51 or download Atomos Shogun Firmware 6.51, apply it, and enjoy all these new fixes and improvements.
