The driver update improves for F1 2018 gaming experience

AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition Graphics driver, namely the 18.9.2 (18.30.17.05) package, which resolves particle corruption on some cloud textures seen in Star Control: Origins and improves the gaming experience for several titles.

Specifically speaking, the current release adds a performance boost for F1 2018 (up to 3%), Fortnite (up to 5%), Shadow of the Tomb Raider (up to 4%), and Star Control: Origins (up to 17%) games compared to Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.8.2 driver.

However, AMD’s 18.9.2 update might still experience a few issues with Ryzen Desktop CPUs that have Radeon Vega Graphics, Radeon RX Vega Series graphics cards, as well as with 16+ GPU configurations used for compute workloads.

Regarding compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 32- or 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 10 operating systems (Windows 8.1 is no longer supported),

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your computer, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 18.9.2, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
