Pebble Technology has just released the new PebbleOS firmware version 1.12.0, which is targeted at its SmartWatch products, and brings handful of fixes.

The newly released package resolves the subject or sender cutoff in the notification area when the names are too long, the motion backlight that was not working, and the long click release after the action bar icon is changed.

Moreover, it sets factory reset to disable the QC app and perform the reset, modifies the textlayergetmaxused_size to always return the correct size, and adds workarounds to the graphics draw pixel, circle, and round rect so that they draw inside the layer.

Furthermore, graphics draw rect, and round rect now use the stroke color, GCompOpAnd bitmap compositing graphics mode doesn’t have artifacts any more, and graphics gpath filled does not have cuts.

The 1.12.0 firmware version also fixes the backlight issue so that it turns on when the charger is connected, and includes lots of great stuff for watchapp developers, which will be enabled through the new PebbleKit version to be released.
