Just now, ASUS has outed a new firmware version developed for some of its DSL wireless routers, namely build 1.0.7.6, which updates the ADSL and VDSL WAN QIS manual settings list and adds several other changes.

This new update is targeted at the producer’s DSL-N66U, -N14U, and -N16U routers, as well as at the C1 version of the DSL-N12U, -N55U, -N12E, and -N10 wireless devices.

When it comes to fixes, version 1.0.7.6 resolves several UI-related issues, the disk file size bug that didn’t allow files larger than 2GB, as well as the 2nd and 3rd Guest Network that wasn't able to connect in certain MAC addresses.

In addition to that, this release also updates the DSL (5.4.11.25) and WiFi iNIC host (2.7.0.5) drivers, the OpenSSL library (1.0.0m), and the AiCloud (2.0.0.5), and adds support for the VDSL WAN (for IPTV) and live notification services.

If ASUS’ latest firmware is applied, the VLAN tag will be removed when WAN is set to 802.1q, the UI default netmask value for PPPoA/Static IP will be changed, the Routing Table and Port Forwarding won’t hang when no internet access is available, and several other changes will be included.
