This package contains the files needed for installing the Camera Firmware. If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand existing ones. Even though other OSes might be compatible as well, we do not recommend applying this release on platforms other than the ones specified.

Note:

It is recommended to perform the software update using new batteries. Loss of battery power during the software update may cause the camera to be non-operational.

About Digital Camera Firmware:

Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your camera can improve the device's overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.
