[AF-Point Scope] Function has been added

- Added an AF point scope function that allows you to enlarge the focus position during AF.

High resolution mode function has been enhanced

- It is now possible to set the shutter speed up to 8 seconds in the High Resolution mode. In addition, [Long Exposure NR] can be used.
- Thanks to the image stabilizer, [Handheld High-Res] mode has been added to enable recording pictures with higher resolution even without using a tripod.
During [Handheld High-Res] mode, the shutter speed can be set at max 1 second.

MF Assist Magnification Setting has been added

- It is now possible to magnify the full screen mode display in MF Assist up to approx. 20 times when recording pictures.

Other performance improvements

- Improved the switching speed between LCD and LVF.
- Improved viewfinder visibility between continuous shooting frames.
- Improved operational stability.

Update Procedure:

- Charge the battery fully.
- Make sure to turn off the power switch.
- Insert the fully charged battery to the body.
- Save and unzip the downloadable package.
- Transfer the content onto a formatted SD memory card and insert it into the camera body.
- Turn on the power switch.
- Press the Play button to enter the Play mode.
- After the message of "PLEASE WAIT ..." is displayed, a display will continuously be shown on the LCD.
- If newer version or same version of firmware has already been installed, the initial setup screen will not be displayed. And the lens will display that "NO VALID PICTURE TO PLAY". Please turn off your camera and use the camera as is.
- Press [(Left Cursor button)] to select the [Yes]. The update process will start.
- The camera body will start the update process.
- The firmware update will take about 5 minutes.
- Please do not attempt the following operations before completion.
- The green bar increases the level by the process.
- Once the firmware update process is completed, the camera dody will turn off the power and turn on again then it will be initial mode automatically.
- Turn off the power switch.
- Remove the SD memory card.

Important Notes:

- Do not turn the power off and on
- Do not press any buttons
- Do not open the SD memory card compartment
- Do not remove the SD memory card
- Do not remove the lens. 

About Digital Camera Updates:
