Panasonic AK-UCU600 Camera Control Unit Firmware 01.56

Changes:

 
- When AK-NP600 is installed: Network settings can be operated from EasyIP Setup Tool Plus. Please use the latest version released in March 2022.
- When you use with the AK-UC4000 or AK-UC3300, you can set the SDI OUT 5,6 and 7 formats from AK-HRP1000 or AK-HRP1010 for the AK-UCU600.
- When AK-NP600 is installed: The return function from ROP has been improved to be fixed to RET1 according to the specification requirements.

Version display method:

- Each software version can be confirmed at item “VERSION” in MAINTENANCE menu.
- Connect the picture monitor to [8/PM] of HD/SD SDI OUT connector.
- Hold down the MENU button. The TOP menu screen of CCU menu appears and the MENU button lights.
- Select “MAINTENANCE” and press the SELECT dial button to open the MAINTENANCE menu screen.
- Select “VERSION” and pressing the SELECT dial button, VERSION screen is displayed.
- Each software version is displayed on the VERSION screen.

Update procedure:

- Download and unzip the archive.
- Copy the “PRIVATE” folder onto a formatted SD memory card
- Connect the picture monitor TV to [8/PM] of HD/SD SDI OUT connector.
- Insert an SD memory card into the SD memory card slot.
- Hold down the MENU button. The TOP menu screen of CCU menu appears and the MENU button lights.
- Select “MAINTENANCE” and press the SELECT dial button to open the MAINTENANCE menu screen.
- Select item “SD CARD” and press the SELECT dial button to open the SD CARD menu screen
- Select the item “UPDATE” and set “YES?”(Character is blink).
- Press the SELECT dial button, the update program is started.
- The software update may take approx. 40 minutes. Do not power down while updating
- When the update is completed, the message “UPDATE COMPLETE” is displayed and CCU will be automatically rebooted  

About Digital Camera Updates:

Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your camera can improve the device's overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.

On the other hand, downgrading the camera's firmware can recover its functionality in the unlikely event the currently installed version is faulty or the device's performance dropped after an upgrade. However, bear in mind that applying an earlier build might not always be possible.
