Timecode Systems Camera Adapter USB Firmware Updater 4.4 for Mac OS

Follow these simple steps to add the latest firmware to your Timecode Systems products on a Windows system. If you have not previously installed the PC updater software application then please follow The Instructions. If you have previously installed a Timecode Systems PC updater software application then please uninstall this earlier version before following The Instructions.

Instructions:

- Download the updater software package for the: pulse, SyncBac PRO,: wave, mini trx+, mini trx and mini rx.
- Drag the USB Updater app into the Applications folder, as requested.
- Click on the Updater in the Applications folder. The Updater program will launch. Make sure your Mac is connected to the internet to automatically check for the latest firmware.
- A window will appear saying ‘Device not connected’. Power on your unit and plug it into your Mac USB port.
- Once the ‘Connected’ message appears in the updater program window, you will be able to see immediatley the details of your unit and whether a new firmware, FPGA or web page update is available. If prompted with a dialogue box, click OK. The new update will be programmed.
- Any further required updates will appear on screen via prompts. Once your unit is up to date the app will notify you.

About Camera Adapter Updates:

Updating to a different firmware version than the one already installed on the adapter can bring various changes such as improved performance and stability, add new features or enhance existing ones, but also various fixes for more or less recurrent issues.

Given the large variety of camera adapters and numerous methods for upgrading the device, it is highly recommended that you read and, above all, understand the installation steps before you consider applying the new firmware, even if you are a power user.

If you try to perform the update without knowing all the steps, you risk ending up with a broken device. However, what every upgrade needs is a compatible firmware to be transferred to the adapter (or to the camera) via either a USB cable or a suitable memory card.
