This package updates the UEFI BIOS (including system program and Embedded Controller program) stored in the ThinkPad computer to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions. This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where no sound was heard from the ThinkPad internal speakers while the computer was locked when SmartAudio was set to Multi-stream mode and headphones or external speakers were attached to the computer. This fix is to follow Windows' behavior.
- Fixed an issue where Windows Memory Diagnostics might fail with two memory modules installed.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
