Intel XTU is a Windows-based performance-tuning software that enables novice and experienced enthusiasts to overclock, monitor, and stress a system. The software interface exposes a set of robust capabilities common in most enthusiast platforms along with new features available on new Intel application processors and Intel motherboards.

Changes:

- Monitors now display in Compact View
- Conversion from SQLite databases to XML
- Speed Optimizer page now lists out all controls that are changed when Intel Speed Optimizer 2.0 is enabled
- Applicable system configurations will now show a read-only listing of XMP profile data
- Intel Speed Optimizer 2.0 Now includes tuning of Intel Overclocking Thermal Velocity Boost values on applicable system configurations
- Undervolt protection updates
- Fix for Windows 10 undervolt protection detection issue
- Removed “XTU” Benchmark and now only include “XTU2” Benchmark
- Cache Ratio control removed from the Compact View

Known Issues:

- In certain system memory configurations, XTU may incorrectly throw an error that tuning memory controls is skipped when they have successfully been applied. Please proceed past the error to see properly applied tunings.
- In certain system configurations, Core Isolation Memory Integrity, Hyper-V, and Virtual Machine State are incompatible with XTU. In these cases, XTU is unable to function when these features are enabled.
- In certain undervolt protected system configurations XTU will be unable to set voltage controls to system default values.
- When Windows Smart App Control feature is enabled, installing and/or running XTU may result in a notification or error from Windows. In these cases, the user may reboot the system and rerun the XTU installer or application. We are working with Microsoft to resolve this issue.

About Tuning Utility:

Install this tuning utility and you will be able to manually configure various overclocking values, such as CPU and memory frequencies, system clocks, fan speeds, and monitor temperature for different components.

However, please note that you're supposed to tweak these settings only between supported ranges; changing configurations to extreme values without additional cooling systems might seriously damage components.
