Plextor Europe has send out a press release, announcing the Plextor PX-740A DVD recorder. This drive is a DVD recorder and CD burner and writes DVD-R and DVD R discs at 16x, 8x DVD R DL & 4x DVD-R DL, 8x DVD RW and 6x DVD-RW. Additionally, the PX-740A can write and read CD's at 48x and re-write CD's at 32x. However the drive is different from other Plextor 16x DVD recorders.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
