HP 2000-2c00 PLDS ODD Firmware DS-8A8SH KH63 for Windows 7 64-bit

This package provides a tool that will run in Microsoft Windows to update the PLDS Optical Drive Firmware. This package is available for supported notebooks that are running a supported operating system.

Fixes:

- Fixes an issue where a CD-RW inserted into the optical drive tray does not erase properly and an error message "disc erase unsuccessful" is displayed when using Power2Go to erase the disc.
- Fixes an issue where a CD-RW inserted into the optical disc drive tray does not format properly when the optical disc icon is selected using a right click and then the format option is selected. The system then displays the message "Windows was unable to complete the format."

If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand existing ones. Even though other OSes might be compatible as well, we do not recommend applying this release on platforms other than the ones specified.

To install this package please do the following:
