Besides DVD-RAM, the ND-4550A can also handle the entire spectrum of common DVD and CD formats. As you can rightfully expect from a device of this class, it operates not only securely and reliably but also at extremely high speeds in all disciplines. DVD R and DVD�R are written at speeds of 16x. Your �Newcomer� has speeds of 8x in the DVD RW and DVD R9 formats. And it can achieve high speeds of 6x for DVD-RW/DVD-R DL. Laudable mention must be made of its CD-specific write performance at 48x (CD-R) and 32x (CD-RW). And it is unsurpassed in its class in reading DVDs (16x) and CDs (48x).

All components of the ND-4550A are �lead-free� and therefore already comply with the statutory recycling standards that come into effect on January 1, 2006.
