But back to the subject of speed: The ND-3551 can read your DVDs at a maximum transfer rate of 16x, and CD-ROMs at a maximum rate of 48x. It writes DVD-R/DVD R formats at a maximum of 16x � and reaches a write speed of 48x/32x for CD-R/CD-RW.

DVD-RW (6x), DVD-R DL (6x), DVD R9 (8x) and DVD RW (8x) are other formats supported by the ND-3551, where it also achieves top performance values.
