This firmware update addresses the issue of a page being scanned incompletely, usually in relation with the scanner having difficulty feeding the paper. A couple of examples are:
The page scanned is cut off at the top and a black band of approximately 1 cm (0.5 in.) or more being added at the bottom of the page.The resulting scanned file has part of one document page, a black band, and then the top of the next document page all in one scanned page. It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
