Western Digital has rolled out a new firmware version compatible with its My Could personal storages, namely version 2.11.133, which improves analytics logging support, fixes bug that prevented users from accessing the dashboard, and more.

Specifically speaking, the update resolves the media crawler that crashed during resizing certain images, as well as the incorrect credential message displayed when opening the dashboard.

In addition to that, Western Digital’s firmware removes the misleading Power Supply “Failure” alert text on the WebUI and fixes the issue where owners were unable to connect to their device when syncing or uploading files from multiple clients.

When it comes to installing this version, get and extract the downloadable archive, log into the device’s dashboard user interface, go to Settings → Firmware Update, and click on the “Update From File” button from under the “Manual Update” section.

Now, browse and select the newly-extracted .bin file and agree with the upgrade process. When the installation has finished, the storage will automatically reboot. However, bear in mind that you mustn’t interrupt the firmware update process in any way as this can cause serious malfunctions.

That said, download WD My Cloud Personal Storage Firmware 2.11.133, take into account all aspects mentioned above, apply the latest firmware version, and enjoy your newly updated personal cloud.
