After announcing earlier today that a new firmware will be available for its PlayStation 4 system, Sony has just rolled out the PS4 3.10 system software update that adds a new stamp to messages, and allows owners to follow official accounts.

Specifically speaking, this release gives users the ability to see the activity of (verified) accounts for people, companies, and games from all over the gaming community. Moreover, after following an account, all changes will be accessible from the “What’s New” section.

When it comes to upgrading your PS4 system to version 3.10, download the .PUP file, create a “PS4/UPDATE” path onto a FAT32-formatted USB stick, and save the firmware there.

Afterwards, simply connect the newly-prepared removable drive, go to Settings > System Software Update, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen.

As for re-installing the firmware (in the event of an HDD replacement), first of all, bear in mind that all users and data will be erased. If this aspect is understood, save the re-installation package (approximately 790mb), and prepare a USB drive as highlighted above.

Now, completely turn off your PS4 console (hold the power button for at least 7 seconds), connect the USB storage, power the PlayStation back on, and select the “Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software)” option.

That being said, taking into account all aforementioned aspects, download Sony PlayStation 4 Firmware 3.10, apply it, and enjoy the changes this new release brings about.
