As announced, today, January 20, 2016, Sony has rolled out two new firmware packages, namely version 3.57 compatible with its PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV and 3.78 suitable for PlayStation 3 systems.

These new firmware updates end Facebook link feature support on Sony’s PS3 and PS Vita consoles, as well as remove Facebook application from the PlayStation TV systems. The producer apologizes for any inconveniences.

Even though some people were using Facebook on these devices and some not, few of them are complaining that Sony took the time to remove this feature and didn’t include any other fixes for these PlayStation systems.

However, if you want to apply the present firmware, just save the downloadable .PUP file, and make sure to follow all instructions highlighted on the description page for your specific model.

Moreover, take into account that failing to complete this process successfully can lead to malfunctions or render the unit unusable. Also, interrupting the upgrade by cutting the power or rebooting/restarting the device can do the same damage.

That said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your PlayStation model, carefully apply the new firmware, and check back with us as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.” Also, tell us what you think about these releases.
