Today, SIGMA has announced the availability of two new firmware packages targeted at its sd Quattro and sd Quattro H camera models, namely version 1.07 and 1.03, respectively, which promise to resolve the issues with the lens profiles recorded in the images.

Specifically speaking, these cameras couldn’t properly display the lens names or images with accurate brightness in some image processing software.

Moreover, the imaging units will have no problem synchronizing when attaching an ELECTRONIC FLASH EF-610 DG SUPER SA-STTL device. This issue was caused due to the faster shutter speed of the flash compared to the FP Flash mode values.

If you intend to upgrade to this version, first of all, make sure your camera isn’t already running this or newer firmware, format a memory card using the sd Quattro camera, and save the downloadable .bin file.

Now, transfer the .bin package to the card’s root directory, insert it into the camera while it’s off, turn the power on, go to Menu > Setup Menu > Firmware Update, and initiate the installation by selecting “Yes” at the “Start Firmware update ?” message.

Upon completion, the device will automatically shut down after displaying a proper message; at this point, simply remove the memory card and to check the firmware version once more to ensure that the installation has been successful.

With this in mind, download SIGMA sd Quattro Camera Firmware 1.07 or download SIGMA sd Quattro H Camera Firmware 1.03, take into account all the aspects as mentioned above, and update your device.
