Today, SIGMA has announced the availability of a new firmware update targeted at its sd Quattro digital camera, namely version 1.05, which resolves an issue where images taken by 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary lenses would show irregular color rendering.

In addition to that, the present release also removes occasional noise seen in the left part of the display monitor. However, this phenomenon was encountered when the magnification ratio was set to 4x and the focusing of the image was adjusted.

With this in mind, if you intend to upgrade to this version, first of all, make sure your camera isn’t already running this or newer firmware, format a memory card using the sd Quattro camera, and save the downloadable .bin file.

Now, transfer the “SDQ_V105.BIN” to the card’s root directory, insert it into the camera while it’s off, turn the camera on, go to Menu > Set-up Menu > Firmware Update, and initiate the installation by selecting “Yes” at the “Start Firmware update?” message.

Bear in mind that the camera’s body will automatically turn off and then reboot seconds after starting the upgrade. However, in case the unit doesn’t power on by itself, make sure to do it manually to resume the update.

That said, download SIGMA sd Quattro Camera Firmware 1.05, take into account all the aspects mentioned above, and update your device. Also, check with our website constantly to stay “updated one minute ago.”
