Realtek has made available new driver versions targeted at its RTL8152B USB 2.0 and RTL8153 USB 3.0 Ethernet controllers, which might include small stability and performance improvements.

However, it would be best to apply them on your computer and find out for yourself what the changes really are, as official release notes aren’t available.

In terms of compatibility, Realtek has provided a new driver version suitable for Microsoft’s Windows XP OS (5.013.1115.20160), Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 platforms (7.027.1206.2016), as well as Windows 10 operating systems (10.013.1202.2016).

Moreover, the producer has also made available a new package developed for both 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows 8 and 8.1, as well as for Windows Server 2012, namely version 8.034 build 1206.2016.

As for installation, save and extract the appropriate archive suitable for your system configuration, run the available setup, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

In addition to that, make sure to give the wizard permission to reboot your computer, as this is required for the changes to take effect. However, if this task isn’t requested, it would be a good idea to perform it manually.

Therefore, download the suitable driver from the ones below, carefully apply it on your computer, and check our website as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
