Realtek has made available a new High Definition Audio driver package, namely version 6.0.1.7667, which is compatible with Microsoft’s both 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems.

Since there is no changelog available, I can only assume that this new release might implement various quality and stability improvements, driver customizations, or even audio enhancements. However, bear in mind that build 7667 isn’t supported on any Windows XP, Vista, or Server platform, either bit architecture.

When it comes to installing this release, first make sure your computer's OS is supported, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and locate and run the “setup” file from within the newly created folder.

Afterwards, simply follow all instructions displayed on your monitor for a complete and successful installation.

Last but not least, once the new driver has applied, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested by the wizard automatically, make sure to carry it out manually to avoid any unwanted problems.

That said, download Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.7667, follow all instructions highlighted above to install properly the new version, and constantly check our website to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
