AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition Graphics driver, namely the 20.2.2 Optional (19.50.19.15) package, which implements a large number of changes and manages to resolve hangs and TDR error for several titles.

Specifically speaking, the current release makes sure games such as Battlefield V, Fortnite, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Metro Exodus, Grand Theft Auto V, and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne won’t experience crashes or hangs anymore.

In addition to that, the 20.2.2 version also corrects the blocky textures seen in Red Dead Redemption 2, fixes the black screen event encountered while playing Battlefield V, and resolves other issues experienced by system configurations running a Radeon RX 5700 or RX 5000 GPU.

Moreover, this update improves Radeon Software Radeon Chill, and Radeon FreeSync stability and usability, as well as adds other enhancements as highlighted in the Release Notes below. Still, AMD’s 20.2.2 release might experience a few issues with DOOM and Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers.

Regarding compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating systems.

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your computer, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 20.2.2 Optional, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
