AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition Graphics driver, namely the 18.12.2 (18.50.02) package, which improves the gaming experience for several titles and implements several titles.

Specifically speaking, the current release adds a performance boost for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey (up to 4%), Shadow of the Tomb Raider (up to 3%), DOOM (up to 5%), Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (up to 5%), and Strange Brigade (up to 7%) games compared to Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.12.1 driver.

Moreover, this update resolves black screen, game crashes, and TDRs (in some locations) experienced in Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, fixes, flickering and shuttering seen in Battlefield 1 and Strange Brigade, and makes sure Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Forza Horizon 3 don’t crash on launch.

In addition to that, AMD also implements several new features for Radeon ReLive, Radeon ReLive Game Streaming, Radeon ReLive for VR, AMD Link, Radeon Overlay, Radeon Game Advisor, and several other changes and fixes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

However, AMD’s 18.12.2 update might still experience a few issues with multiple display configurations, Radeon Overlay, Auto tuning feature, Performance Metrics Overlay, Radeon WattMan, and Scene Editor.

Regarding compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating systems (Windows 8.1 is no longer supported),

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your computer, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin 2019 Edition Graphics Driver 18.12.2, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
