14 DAY TRIAL // Pioneer has made available a new firmware update developed for several of its Car CD Players, namely version 8.36, which improves Bluetooth connectivity, MTP performance, and playback from USB Source, and adds a few other minor bug fixes.
To be clear about the targeted devices, the present update is suitable for FH-X730BS, FH-X731BT, and FH-X830BHS 2-Din CD receiver models, as well as the MVH-X580BS, MVH-X690BS, and MVH-X691BS digital media receivers.
In addition to that, the producer’s DEH-X6800BS, DEH-X6900BT, DEH-X6910BT, DEH-X7800BHS, and DEH-X8800BHS device models are also compatible with this firmware version.
When it comes to installation, first save and unzip the downloadable archive appropriate for your unit, transfer its content onto a formatted USB drive, go to your car and start the engine, and then connect the USB storage to the Pioneer player.
Afterward, set the unit source OFF (hold SRC/OFF button), press the M.C. dial then turn it to select “System Update,” select “S/W UPDATE” to initiate the upgrade, and wait for about 5 minutes until this process finishes.
However, bear in mind that you mustn’t turn off the system’s power or touch the unit’s buttons during the upgrade, as this may result in severe damage to your audio player. Moreover, make sure not to remove the USB storage either.
