This firmware improves TTL exposure and HSS function

PHOTTIX has rolled out a new firmware package targeted at its Indra500 TTL Studio Light, namely version 1.06, which improves TTL exposure, as well as High-Speed Sync (HSS) functions in TTL and M (Manual) modes for both Nikon and Canon cameras.

In addition to that, the TTL flash receives new settings for Modeling Light Auto Off time (25 minutes) and gets its Rotate Knob function at the top of the Menu page deleted.

Moreover, if this firmware is applied, the camera adapter will benefit from a new Color / Action option for M (Manual) mode that improves color temperature in Custom Settings Menu. To make use of this feature access the Custom Setting menu while holding the Menu button.

This addition will allow owners to take images with stable color temperatures of 5500K +/- 200K. However, know that “Color” mode doesn’t support HSS function available in “Action” mode.

With this in mind, if you intend to upgrade your TTL Studio Light, save and unzip the downloadable archive, run the available setup file, and make sure to connect the adapter to your computer.

Now, click on the “Software” button, choose the .FDS file, and wait for it to get installed. Perform similar steps with the “Icon” button and .FIF extension, safely disconnect the Indra device, and that's all.

That said, download PHOTTIX Indra500 TTL Studio Light Firmware 1.06, carefully apply it, and enjoy these new changes. Also, check our website constantly to be aware when a newer version is available for your device.
