Peplink has made available a new firmware update developed for most of its wireless routers, namely version 7.0.0, which manages to add support for load balancing, WAN Smoothing, and HA/VRRP to several MAX models.

In addition to that, the producer allows Balance 305 devices to connect to two peers using SpeedFusion, changes 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios functionality for certain models, redesigns IPsec implementation, and adds web admin login history to the event log.

Moreover, per-port VLAN support is implemented for some routers, and the compatible devices receive the ability to set client and signal strength limits, dynamically schedule channel assignments, schedule SSIDs, enable/disable DHCP relay, as well as implement per-radio client limits.

Last but not least, firmware 7.0.0 fixes MX records, IPsec SHA-256 algorithm, L2TP clients connection strength, subnet information for OSPF neighbors, as well as several other issues highlighted in the Release Notes below.

Therefore, if you intend to upgrade to this release, save the appropriate downloadable .bin file specifically designed for your router model, log into its web user interface, and initiate the installation from the Firmware Upgrade section.
