Today, Panasonic has rolled out a new firmware package compatible with its DMC-GH4 camera, namely version 2.6, which resolves an issue where an error message would pop up if the remaining power of the battery in the Battery Grip was low (when used).

In addition to that, the current version also fixes the monitor blackouts when the user tries consecutive shooting in AFC manual mode and while using Panasonic H-RS100400 (LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR 100-400mm / F4.0-6.3 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S.) or some Olympus interchangeable lenses.

Besides the update mentioned above, Panasonic has also made available a 1.2 firmware version targeted at its DMC-ZS110, DMC-ZS100, DMC-TZ110, DMC-TZ101, and DMC-TZ100 camera models.

When it comes to changes, the 1.2 release resolves an occasional problem where some parts of the image are not displayed properly after retouching them with Clear Retouch function in camera.

As for installation, save and unzip the downloadable archive specifically designed for your imaging unit, transfer the .bin file onto a formatted SD card (must be initialized using the camera), and insert it into your device.

Afterwards, turn on the camera, wait for it to recognize the new firmware, and select “Yes” at the “Start Version Up?” message. Still, bear in mind that while installing you mustn’t turn the device off, use any of its buttons, or remove the SD card, battery, or lens.

That said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your device, carefully update your camera’s firmware to the latest version, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
