NVIDIA has made available a new version of its GeForce graphics driver, namely 451.48, which is the Game Ready package that provides full support for the new DirectX 12 Ultimate graphics API.

This API allows using DirectX Raytracing (DXR) version 1.1, mesh shaders, sampler feedback, variable-rate shading (VRS), CUDA 11.0, Vulkan 1.2, as well as Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling when used with the Windows 10 May 2020 Update.

As for fixes, the 451.48 update resolves missing GPU Water Simulation and Bokeh Filter settings encountered in Just Cause 2, corrects game rendering for Sea of Thieves, and removes random objects and menu flickering seen in Resident Evil 2 Remake and Devil May Cry 5 titles.

In addition to that, NVIDIA fixes the Divinity Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition low performance when hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is enabled, improves the Windows Mixed Reality headset stability, and implements other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

In terms of compatibility, the available files are suitable for the 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems. Also, they can be used on both desktop and notebook configurations.

Moreover, take into account that Windows 10 users must choose from a DCH (Declarative, Componentized, Hardware Support Apps) and one Standard file. To see what is ok for your configuration, locate Driver Type under the System Information menu in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Therefore, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 451.48, run it, follow all instructions displayed on the screen, perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
