NVIDIA has announced the availability of a new Vulkan GeForce Graphics driver update, namely version 399.28, which support for two new extensions: VK_KHR_vulkan_memory_model and VK_EXT_inline_uniform_block.

Regarding supported GPUs, this release is valid for TITAN V GPUs, specific models of NVIDIA’s Quadro for desktops and notebooks, as well as for the GeForce 1000, GeForce 900, GeForce 900M, GeForce 800M, GeForce 700, GeForce 700M, GeForce 600, and GeForce 600M lineups.

As for the operating systems, the present update is compatible with the 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 platforms. Moreover, the producer has also provided a 396.54.05 package targeted at Linux OSes that is suitable for the same graphics cards.

When it comes to installation, first ensure this release supports your GPU model (check the description page to make sure of that), save the appropriate package compatible with your computer’s bit architecture, run it, and wait for the wizard to extract all files required for the upgrade.

Afterward, follow all on-screen instructions for a complete and successful installation. Also, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.
