The new driver release resolves various security issues

NVIDIA has rolled out a new version of its Tesla graphics driver, namely the 386.45 package, which includes support for CUDA 9.0 toolkit, and adds addresses various security issues and vulnerabilities.

In terms of supported configurations, this release is supported by NVIDIA’s Tesla C2075, C2070, and C2050 units included in the C-Class lineup, as well as with the M60, M40, M6, M4, M2090, M2075, M2070, M2070-Q, and M2050 M-Class GPUs.

In addition to that, the 386.45 driver is also compatible with Tesla K80, K40c, K40m, K40s, K40st, K40t, K20Xm, K20m, K20s, K20c, K10, and K8 cards, with Tesla P100, P40, P6, and P4 P-Series models, and with the Tesla V100, X2070, and X2090 graphics processing units.

However, besides these components that must be included within your computer, this update also needs one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, or Server 2016 operating systems (only the 64-bit variants) in order to work properly.

When it comes to applying the present release, simply make sure your system configuration is valid, save and run the downloadable executable, wait for all files required for the upgrade to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete installation.
