The new driver releases add various security updates

Today, for whatever reason, NVIDIA has announced the availability of its GeForce 341.92 and Quadro 358.91 drivers, which arrive only a day apart from the producer’s previous GeForce 358.91 and Quadro 341.92 updates. Very confusing!

Even though it’s quite puzzling, understand that NVIDIA’s 341.92 GeForce graphics packages support legacy video cards, such as GeForce 405 and older GPU models. Also, take into account that this release is the latest update for these cards after NVIDIA GeForce 341.81 was made available.

As for the Quadro 358.91 version, this update is suitable for newer graphics cards, as it’s the first stable release since NVIDIA outed the Quadro 358.50 Beta drivers.

When it comes to changes, NVIDIA’s new GeForce files add security updates for the nvlddmkm.sys and nv4_mini.sys driver components while the Quadro update implements various workstation compatibility fixes.

Regarding supported OSes, both new versions are developed for desktop and notebook configurations running one of Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems. However, take into account that notebooks do not support Vista platforms.

Therefore, if I’ve managed to clear things up and you want to upgrade your computer, then save the appropriate package for it, run the downloaded executable, and follow all instructions. Also, upon completion, make sure to carry out a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.

That said, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 341.92 or download NVIDIA Quadro Graphics Driver 358.91, take into account all aspects mentioned above, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
