NVIDIA has announced the availability of a new version of its STUDIO Graphics driver, namely the 442.92 build, which ensures support and adds bug fixes for the latest updates to RTX-powered creative app including Unreal Engine 4.25, OctaneRender 2020, D5 Render, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Minecraft RTX, and more.

In addition to that, this release adds support for the new GeForce RTX SUPER Max-Q GPUs, including several new RTX Studio laptops, resolves RayTracing performance drop experienced when using optixGetTriangleVertexData, and removes the artifacts seen in Arnold.

Moreover, NVIDIA manages to improve OptiX demand load paging to maximize performance, fix Arnold SDK crash, resolve external display issues for notebooks, and add other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

In terms of compatibility, the 442.92 release consists of four downloadable packages suitable for the 64-bit architecture of Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system running on notebooks or desktops (each configuration has a DCH and a Standard file available).

Therefore, save and run the appropriate executable for your system, wait for all files required for the installation to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

Last but not least, once finished, it would be a good idea to perform a reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically, however, make sure to carry it out manually to avoid any unwanted problems.

That said, download NVIDIA STUDIO Graphics Driver 442.92, follow all instructions highlighted above, and check back with us constantly to be aware when a newer version is available for download.
