NVIDIA has made available a new version of its Quadro graphics driver, namely release 440 U1 (440.97 WHQL), which is an ODE ('Optimal Drivers for Enterprise) package that implements full support for Microsoft’s Windows 10, November 2019 Update (Update 19H2).

In addition to that, the current release delivers performance enhancements (up to 30% gain) for apps such as Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS, PTC Creo, and Autodesk VRED, and adds G-SYNC support for windowed OpenGL and Vulkan applications.

Moreover, users can now merge and scale the content of two displays and output the final image to a separate display/projector attached to the same GPU, make use of several new extensions, and enjoy additional changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to compatibility, version 440.97 is suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations that are powered by one of Microsoft’s 64-bit variants of Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 platforms, as well as for desktop systems running Server 2008, 2012, 2016, or 2019 OSes.

Therefore, if you intend to apply this package, just save the proper one for your device, run it, wait as the wizard extracts all files required for the installation, and follow all instructions displayed for a complete upgrade.

Last but not least, once completed, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically by the wizard, make sure to carry it out manually to avoid any unwanted problems.
