NVIDIA has just rolled out a new GeForce graphics driver, namely version 418.99 hotfix, which manages to fix the random application crash or TDR introduced in previous GeForce Display Driver 418.81.

When it comes to compatibility, the available file is suitable for Microsoft’s 64-bit architecture of its Windows 7 or 8.1 operating systems. Also, the package is supported on both desktop and notebook configurations.

Therefore, save the appropriate package targeted at your computer, close all programs and processes that might interfere with the installation, run the executable, wait for all files required for the upgrade to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful update.

Last but not least, once finished, make sure to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually to avoid any unwanted issues.

In addition to that, make sure not to try installing this hotfix release on platforms other than the ones mentioned above, as this might lead to various malfunctions, even if they might seem to work at first.

That said, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 418.99 Hotfix, apply it on your computer, and check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
