The new driver release enables Fast Sync for Maxwell GPUs

Just now, NVIDIA has made available a new version of its GeForce graphics driver, namely 372.70 WHQL, which promises to provide Maximum performance for titles such as World of Warcraft: Legion, Battlefield 1: Open Beta, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and Quantum Break on Steam.

In addition to that, the update enables Fast Sync for Maxwell GPUs and multi-monitor configurations, fixes some Ambient Occlusion issues spotted in Fallout 4 games, and corrects the High DPC (Deferred Procedure Call) latency encountered after upgrading to GeForce GTX 1080.

Moreover, NVIDIA has also managed to make sure standard definition videos (upscaled to full screen) will play without problems on Windows 10 and resolve an issue with FALCON SUB.X instruction logic on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 OSes.

When it comes to installation, first make sure not to apply the present packages on platforms other than the ones mentioned above, save the appropriate package for your OS, and ensure your GPU is listed as a valid model.

Afterwards, run the downloaded driver, wait for all files required by the installation to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete upgrade. Also, once completed, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.

That said, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 372.70, apply it, and check our website as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
