Nikon has rolled out a new firmware package developed especially for its D500 digital camera model, namely version 1.20, which makes sure the device can now connect via Wi-Fi to devices running SnapBridge and turn off every time when the power switch is rotated to “OFF”.

Moreover, if this firmware is applied, the camera will not have problems focusing on subjects in the focus points at the edges of the frame, or stop responding during shooting in continuous high-speed (CH) release mode.

Therefore, if these issues have bothered you in the past and want to upgrade, first check your camera’s current firmware and make sure it’s not either newer or matching the present update, and only afterward save and run the downloadable archive.

Moreover, know that the producer has provided two files: one for both 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems, and the other targeted at Mac OS platforms.

Now, transfer the “D500_0120.bin” file onto a memory card, insert it into the camera, turn the imaging unit on, and go to Setup Menu > Firmware Version, and follow the steps for applying the new file.

With this in mind, download Nikon D500 Camera Firmware 1.20, apply it to get rid of the problems as mentioned above, and check back with us constantly to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
