Today, Nikon has announced the availability of a new firmware package developed for its COOLPIX S33 digital compact camera, namely version 1.1, which fixes an issue was spotted with the AC charging adapter.

Specifically speaking, the camera would interfere with nearby radios and devices when an EH-73P or EH-73PCH charging AC adapter was connected via USB with the battery in and powered off.

In addition to that, this bug could also produce various audible noises in the same circumstances. However, none of these problems was encountered when using an EH-71P or EH-71PCH charging AC adapter.

To benefit from this changes, first of all, make sure your camera isn’t already running this firmware or a newer one. To do so, simply go to Setup > Firmware Version, and compare it to the present update.

If all is ok, save and run the appropriate package for your computer OS (available for both Mac OS and Windows platforms), initialize a compatible memory card using the camera, remove it, and turn off the COOLPIX unit.

Now, transfer the “firmware” folder onto the formatted memory card, insert it into your imaging unit, power the device on, go to Setup > Firmware Version, and follow all instructions displayed for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, download Nikon COOLPIX S33 Camera Firmware 1.1, carefully apply it on your unit to enjoy the improvements mentioned above, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
