The update removes a bug that affected movie audio

Today, Nikon has made available a new firmware package compatible with its COOLPIX A1000 digital camera, namely version 1.1, which manages to remove a bug that affected audio for movies filmed under certain conditions.

In addition to that, the current update removes the bluish cast seen in photos taken with Auto (normal or warm lighting) selected in White balance, and make sure frame advance rates don’t slow down as shutter speeds became faster (in Continuous H, M, and L release modes).

Moreover, firmware 1.1 ensures the camera is working perfectly during burst RAW photography (or during playback), records the location data downloaded via SnapBridge to pictures, and includes other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

So, if you consider these changes helpful, go to Menu > Setup > Firmware Version, make sure the unit’s firmware build isn’t either newer or matching the present release, and save the appropriate package for your computer’s OS (available for both Mac OS and Windows platforms).

Afterward, run it to extract the firmware file to a new folder, transfer the “firmware” folder to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera, ensure the COOLPIX unit is completely turned off and has a fully charged battery, and insert the SD card and power on the device.

Now, go to Menu > Setup > Firmware Version once more and follow all on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update. Also, during installation, make sure you don’t remove the battery/SD card, use the camera’s buttons, or interrupt the upgrade in any way.

That said, Nikon COOLPIX A1000 Camera Firmware 1.1, carefully upgrade your imaging device and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
