Realtek has announced the availability of new Ethernet drivers, part of build 1220.2016, which are compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 platforms, as well as Windows Server 2008 and 2012 OSes.

To be clear, the producer has rolled out version 7.103.1220.2016 for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2, 8.049.1220.2016 suitable for Windows 8, 8.1, and Server 2012, as well as the 10.012.1220.2016 driver compatible with Windows 10.

In terms of supported components, all available packages are targeted at Realtek’s PCI Express Gigabit and Fast Ethernet adapters, as well as some of its PCI Gigabit Ethernet controllers, as highlighted on the description page.

As for installation, simply save and unzip the appropriate package for your system configuration, make sure the driver supports your network adapter, and run the available setup file from within the newly unzipped archive.

Afterward, follow all instructions displayed on the screen, and don’t forget to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect. If this task isn’t requested automatically, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.

With this in mind, from the links below, follow the one that best suits your system configuration, take into account all above-described aspects, and update your network controller.
