While gamers around the world are waiting for the release of Assassin's Creed: Origins and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus titles (available on 27 October 2017), AMD has rolled its 17.10.2 Radeon Crimson ReLive graphics driver to ensure users will be able to enjoy these games fully.

Specifically speaking, compared to the previous 17.10.1 AMD Radeon Crimson release, this update improves Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Destiny 2, and Assassin's Creed: Origins performance by up to 8%, 43%, and 16%, respectively, on Radeon RX Vega56 (8GB) on graphics cards.

In addition to that, the same titles will run up to 4%, 50%, and 13% faster, respectively, when gaming on a Radeon RX 580 (8GB) rig at 2560 x 1440 resolution. Still, these tests were conducted using an Intel i7 7700X CPU (4.2 GHz) and 16GB DDR4-3000 (make sure you are close).

AMD’s release also adds support for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, can run workloads (up to 12 Radeon RX 400, RX 500 or RX Vega cards), and includes several other changes highlighted in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to compatibility, there are four downloadable files suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations running under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 10 OSes, as well as a Minimal Setup Utility targeted at the same platforms.

Considering these aspects, download AMD Radeon Crimson ReLive Graphics Driver 17.10.2 on your computer, remove any previous version from your computer, run the package, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete update.

Last but not least, once finished, don’t forget to perform a reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this isn’t requested automatically by the wizard, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.
