Just now, AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Crimson Edition Graphics driver, namely the 16.9.1 hotfix package, which adds a new DirectX 11 CrossFire profile for DOTA 2 and includes support for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (DirectX 12).

In addition to that, the producer resolves flickering issues in DiRT Rally, hang or crash events spotted in Grand Theft Auto V, DOOM, Total War: Warhammer titles on certain settings, as well as some FreeSync and non-FreeSync display corruptions.

Moreover, AMD makes sure GPU utilization won’t remain high after running SteamVR performance benchmark or resuming from sleep (Radeon RX 400 series GPUs), and Pixel Format options aren’t missing from Radeon Settings on a small number of system configurations.

However, bear in mind that the present update might still include small bugs that can cause corruptions, crashes, or other unpleasant errors.

In terms of compatibility, besides the supported GPU list highlighted in the Release Notes below, take into account that your configuration must be running a 32- or 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems (there is a file for each combination),

Therefore, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Crimson Graphics Driver 16.9.1 Hotfix, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
