The new update adds a support for Battlefield V title

AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Adrenalin Edition Radeon Graphics driver, namely the 18.11.2 Optional package (as it’s referred to), which fixes the high memory clocks during system idle encountered on Radeon RX Vega Series configurations.

In addition to that, the producer also adds support for the Battlefield V game and make sure that the update notifications system doesn’t list the currently installed driver as an available software update.

Moreover, the current update allows controlling whether explicit overallocation using a new Vulkan Extension (VK_AMD_memory_overallocation_behavior), but might still encounter issues with Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey title and multiple displays systems.

Regarding compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating systems. Also, know that there is an “Auto-Detect and Install” package available for download.

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 18.11.2 Optional, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
