The new release improves gaming experience while playing Destiny 2 and Assassin’s Creed Origins titles

Just now, NVIDIA has rolled out a new version of its GeForce Game Ready driver, namely build 388.00 WHQL, which provides improved gaming experience and performance while playing Destiny 2 and Assassin’s Creed Origins titles.

In addition to that, the present release also resolves the shuttering seen in Doom, CS Go, and Witcher 3 when using a GeForce GTX 1080 notebook configuration. However, this issue was encountered only when playing these games on an external display.

Unfortunately for Alienware owners, the current driver update isn’t suitable for laptops with GM204 GPUs; support for this configuration will be added in the next release.

When it comes to supported operating systems, know that NVIDIA has provided several downloadable packages compatible with both desktop and notebooks running one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 platforms (either 32- or 64-bit architectures).

With this in mind, save and run the package specifically designed for your computer and operating system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed for a complete upgrade.

Last but not least, once the upgrade has finished, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically by the wizard, however, make sure to carry it out manually so that no problems appear.

That said, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 388.00, apply it on your device, and enjoy your newly-improved system. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
