Just now, Sony has made available the download link for the new 3.11 system software update developed for its PlayStation 4 gaming consoles, which improves stability and usability while using certain features.

If you intend to make use of this new release, first ensure that your PS4’s currently installed firmware isn’t either newer or matching version 3.11, and only afterwards save the appropriate .PUP file.

To be clear, the upgrade package (approx. 240MB) requires you to use an FAT32-formatted USB stick, create a “PS4/UPDATE” path on it, and save the downloadable .PUP file in the “Update” folder.

Afterwards, just connect the drive, go to Settings > System Software Update, follow all instructions displayed on-screen, and apply the new firmware version on your console without erasing any user data or modifying settings.

As for the re-installation package (approximately 800MB), this method applies a clean 3.11 software and deletes all users, data, settings, and any other files found on the console.

In addition to that, to initiate the installation you must completely turn off your PS4, connect the stick, power the console back on, and select the “Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software)” option. The USB drive must be prepared as highlighted above.

That being said, download Sony PlayStation 4 Firmware 3.11, apply it, and constantly check our website in order to be up to speed with the latest releases.
