AMD has just rolled out a new version of its FirePro and Radeon Pro graphics driver, namely 18.Q1 WHQL (17.50.18), which includes support for Microsoft’s Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, including Mixed Reality functionality, and adds several fixed.

Specifically speaking, the present update resolves issues with Adobe Premiere Pro CC 8K playback on Radeon Pro SSG cards, makes sure Viewport in Modo won’t hang, and fixes the Radeon Settings crashes when opening Global Settings.

In addition to that, AMD has also added additional Radeon Pro ReLive features, new Radeon Pro Overlay for Radeon Pro ReLive controls and settings, and the Connect tab in Radeon Pro Settings for viewing recent media files.

Last but not least, users who install this new driver can select several displays per GPU for Timing-Client, use Advanced Radeon Pro Settings on mobile platforms, and enjoy other improvements as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

However, bear in mind that the producer’s 18.Q1 version might encounter issues with Radeon Pro Settings, Sun Temple and D2D applications, Radeon Pro Overlay, and SOLIDWORKS Viewport.

Considering all of the above, if you intend to apply this update, save and run the downloadable executable, and just follow all instructions displayed for a complete upgrade. Also, make sure to perform a system reboot once the installation has finished.

That said, download AMD FirePro/Radeon Pro Enterprise Graphics Driver 18.Q1, take into account all aspects described previously, and install the new release. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
