NETGEAR has made available a new firmware package compatible with some of its access points, namely version 3.6.9.0 targeted at WNDAP660, WNAP210v2, and WNAP320 models, which manages to resolve VLAN-related issues over the WDS link, and more.

Specifically speaking, the present update fixes a few reboot problems when APs are managed through Business Central, enhances logging capabilities in Monitoring -> log page, and resolves the intermittent data path issues with iPhone 4S and iPads.

In addition to that, NETGEAR’s 3.6.9.0 release also makes sure DST (Daylight saving) and Non-DST time periods for most time zones are working properly, and ensures the WLAN utilization rate through SNMP MIB is displayed correctly.

When it comes to installation, before initiating the upgrade, it would be a good idea to write down all settings changed from default values, as you might need to re-enter them afterward.

Once this aspect is taken care of, save and unzip the downloadable archive, log into your device’s administration page, go to Maintenance > Upgrade > Firmware Upgrade > Browse, select the newly-extracted .tar file, hit “Upload,” and wait for the new firmware to be applied.

Last but not least, upon completion, it is recommended that you reset your access point (Maintenance > Upgrade > Restore Settings > Restore) and then re-enter the saved settings to make sure all changes take effect.
