Today, NETGEAR has rolled out a new firmware package developed for its D6400 wireless router model, namely version 1.0.0.38, which adds SSL Email support, upgrades DSL driver, and includes several other improvements.

Specifically speaking, this release now supports region code update from NMRP, adds an LED Control page, separates 2.4GHz and 5GHz clients tables, and removes the bug that prevented POT from working properly.

In addition to that, the Internet LED will announce when a monthly limit is reached, bridge groups will no longer cause connection problems, the Advanced page won’t be blocked by AdBlock Plus anymore, and various other changes highlighted in the Release Notes below will be implemented.

When it comes to installation, first of all, save all device configuration, as you might need to re-enter it manually once the new firmware is applied, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and log into the router’s web UI.

Now, go to Advanced > Administration > Firmware Upgrade > Browse, select the newly extracted .chk file, hit “Upload,” and simply wait patiently for the new firmware to be applied.

With this in mind, download NETGEAR D6400 Router Firmware 1.0.0.38, apply it, and enjoy all newly-made changes. Also, make sure to check our website as often as possible in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
